Instructions
Input your Exact Handicap followed by the <TAB> or <RETURN> key (or click on the "Playing HCP" field).
N.B. Internet Explorer does not update fields if you hit <RETURN>
If it is a "plus" handicap (fewer than 0.1% of golfers have such a handicap) select "Yes" for the
"Plus HCP" option. You will be asked to confirm this.
Select whether it is an EGA (default) or CONGU handicap.
Your EGA Playing Handicap and strokes received will be displayed for the competition.
Calculation of Strokes Received
Each individual's playing handicap = the normal playing handicap,
except in the case of MIXED matches, where Ladies receive a number of "course adjustment"
strokes equal to the difference in Par between the Ladies tees and the Men's tees;
Each team's handicap is 50% of the sum of the two team members' individual handicaps
(the result is rounded to the nearest integer).
The team with the lower team handicap receives 0 strokes;
The other team receives 100% of the difference in the teams' playing handicaps.
